- – Current Flagship Project: Leading a major initiative focused on Personalized Preventive Health. This involves creating an innovative digital ‘Preventive Assessment Tool’ (PAT) to capture holistic health profiles—integrating lifestyle, environmental factors, variant exposome-related data, ethnicity, and more, along with enriching Electronic Medical Records (EMR) data. The goal is to identify nuanced risk factors for future AI-driven preventive strategies, ultimately creating personalized preventive plans. This ambitious project benefits from collaborating with a diverse team of over 50 researchers, including physicians, specialists, family doctors, epidemiologists, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, nutritionists, and health informatics students.
- – Landmark Achievement: Authored the comprehensive white paper, “Preparing for Precision Medicine in Ontario: A Current State Assessment.” This foundational work evaluated Ontario’s readiness, highlighting critical needs for data sharing and a cohesive ecosystem.
